The mothers who set up a radiation lab

This is no ordinary laboratory. None of these women who run it trained as scientists. One used to be a beautician, another was a hairdresser, yet another used to work in an office. Worried about their children's health, together they set up a non-profit organisation - Tarachine - to measure radiation in the city of Iwaki, 50km (30 miles) down the coast from the Fukushima nuclear plant. Tarachine advises people to avoid foods with high readings as well as the places they were grown.
