What are a gardener's 10 "must have" tools? Lists range from spade, hand trowel, digging fork, hoe, dandelion digger, rake, hand cultivator, bypass pruners, loppers and long hose with rain wand to hand weeders, scissors, gardener's knife (hori-hori) and even gloves and padded kneelers. All these are important. But one is missing - the camera. Most gardeners own and use their camera frequently, not only in their own garden, but in other gardens as well. Gardeners use cameras to illustrate the garden, to zoom in on beautiful vegetables and flowers, to identify plants, diseases and pests, and to record ideas from other gardens.
